Three things drive the Westwood reading. First, the two GPAs. A reader receives both a 4.5 scale weighted figure and a 4.0 scale unweighted figure, and because AP and Honors carry the same weight, the weighted number says how many courses were above College Prep but not how many were AP; the reader gets that from the course titles. A student with straight A grades across an all Honors schedule and a student with the same grades across an all AP schedule both show 4.5, and the difference has to be visible in the transcript itself.
